Down From London, The London Group’s latest exhibition, opens early Feb at Linden Hall Studio in Deal

They have a great team there who have developed a superb open space over two floors for artists to exhibit their work and have already been credited with revitalising Deal’s art scene. We’re showing a generative projection piece and ,unusually, it will be into a totally lit space.
We visited Deal last August and came across the myth of the Lady Lovibond, a legendary schooner that is alleged to have been wrecked on the Goodwin Sands, just off the Deal coast, on 13 February 1748. It is said to reappear there every fifty years as a ghost ship. No contemporary records of the ship or its supposed sinking are to be found.
Our work will reflect this ghostly presence, forming an image every few minutes before dissipating into the wall.
The show involves over 50 London Group members and is well worth a trip to the seaside. Deal is on the Kent Coast line an hour or so from London.
