Lumen Prize conference Athens

// Oct 2014 //

Joining The Lumen Prize at the OCC for a one-day conference DIGITAL ART: an ever-changing art form.

We joined The Lumen Prize again for a day of talks and discussion organised by the Onassis Cultural Center. There were two panels including: artists Mark Amerika, We Are Muesli, Katerina Athanasopoulou, George Drivas, Angelo Plessas and Katerina Thomadaki; the academics Anne-Marie Duguet, Dr Angus Forbes and Dr Nick Lambert and the curators Emiko Ogawa and Dr Bernhard Serexhe. We discussed our Microworld project and highlighted some of the challenges facing interactive art.

The talk precedes the opening of The Lumen Prize 2014 exhibition. This will be the biggest Lumen Prize exhibition yet including winners from 2013 and 2104. The space is spectacular with many projections, interactive works, and digital prints displayed on lightboxes. We are showing Mother in all her splendour large in the middle of the huge gallery.
